In Episode 3 of The Chirp I catch up with a friend I first met in my Winnipeg days at CKND-TV. Keith Tkachuk broke in as a brash mid-season addition from the US Olympic team and refused to ease into the NHL. A true power forward, Keith tells me about the pursuit of a 50 goal season, laughs about why he should be considered a Rocket Richard winner, and why he was nervous about being at the house of Chicago owner Bill Wirtz as he negotiated an offer-sheet. Of course we talk about his two NHL sons as I wonder who is most like him? It’s Keith Tkhachuk on The Chirp with Daren Millard.
